Sarah Y. Khurana graduated from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark, Newark, N.J. (J.D., 2007) and The University of Texas, Austin, TX (B.S., 2003).  During law school, she was the Managing Editor of the Women’s Rights Reporter.

Prior to joining Gusrae Kaplan, Ms. Khurana was an associate at Butzel Long concentrating in the area of business litigation.

Ms. Khurana was one of fifteen law graduates selected for the New York Legal Fellows program.  In this capacity, Ms. Khurana worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph Maltese of the New York Supreme Court in Staten Island, NY.  Her duties there included drafting judicial opinions on various issues in employment law, products liability, property, trusts and estates, personal injury and corporate law.  She also conducted pre-trial settlement conferences, preliminary conferences and compliance conferences with attorneys.  Ms. Khurana has experience actively settling pre-trial issues, including summary judgment motions, motions to dismiss, discovery and motions in limine.

Ms. Khurana is licensed to practice in New York, Southern District of NY, Eastern District of NY, New Jersey and the District of New Jersey.  Her memberships include the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  She is proficient in Korean.
